Buying a high quality netbook from a reputable brand such as Samsung, Sony or Acre for an extremely low price has never been easier. You can get these netbooks under 200 pounds online & I believe the big drop in price has been the introduction of the new tablet PC, which has received growing popularity in the computer market.
I don’t think that the new tablet PC’s will completely wipe out the sales of netbooks as they still have their place. As you probably know netbooks are basically a smaller version of a laptop & were designed for smaller computing jobs such as surfing the internet, using basic document programs, storing pictures & are very popular with teenagers for social networking such as Facebook or twitter.
Netbooks are much easier to carry around & are much more practical if you need to carry a computer around most days because of work commitments. Although the tablet PC is smaller & lighter than a netbook, the touch screen is not very good for writing with, for example if you needed to write a long article.
It’s great to see all these cheap netbooks around at the moment as they were almost unaffordable when they first came out. I think also with the reduced price & Christmas just around the corner that netbooks will see a big spike in sale towards the end of this year.
